Charles Dickens: 200th anniversary of his birth

Last Christmas we watched the film "A Christmas Carol". As we said then, this story was written by Charles Dickens.

Charles John Huffam Dickens, the greatest novelist of the 19th century, was born in Portsmouth on 7th February. Although a writer from the Victorian era, Dickens’s work transcends his time, language and culture. He remains a contemporary influence throughout the world and his writings continue to inspire film, TV, art, literature or artists.
